The book, Sampad, Samapattir Odhikar Ebong Praner Rajniti O Arthoniti contains information, analyses, critiques, and reflections related to agriculture, biodiversity, food security, impacts of shrimp farming on environment and economy, population, land reform, industry, labor rights, forests, Adivasis, etc. of Bangladesh. These issues were raised, debated, and discussed in a national seminar in 1996 jointly organized by UBINIG, Nijera Kori, Association for Land Reform and Development (ALRD), and Society for Environment and Human Development (SEHD). Leading economists, environmentalists, professionals of different sectors, and representatives of communities participated in the seminar. They all united their voices that commercialization and privatization have led the backward and marginal people to lose their access to common properties.
